Obituary: Rotarian Derick Cran

It is with great sadness that I inform you of the death of Rotarian Derick Cran the husband of Faye, promoter of REMIT in Tanzania and numerous Rotaract Overseas Projects.
Those who attended the RIBI conference 2003/04 in Bournemouth will no doubt remember Derick and Faye as I announced them from the platform - both were very suitably embarrassed!
Derick had a stroke some months ago now and although making progress we knew life was going to be hard.
At 8.45 on Tuesday 20th February sadly his time had come and we feel a great loss as does his dear wife and 'our' friend / family in Tanzania.
To form a lasting memory some have said flowers although picturesque quickly fade but his support to Faye and the REMIT programme could last for many years therefore anyone who wishes to make a donation may do so to REMIT c/o RIBI Kinwarton Road, Alcester, Warwickshire B49 6PB marked in memory of Rtn.Derick Cran.
Our thoughts and love go to his family and we wish them all strength and encouragement knowing he graced the world of Rotary with enthusiasm, commitment and generosity for so many years.
